I’m thrilled to share that our latest work, led by PhD scholar @_Das_Priyanka, is published in @embojournal! Using a bacterial mutant library screen, we identified that bacterial-induced ROS extends C. elegans lifespan by disrupting its iron homeostasis.

Yesterday, we had an amazing dinner with the members of my lab and @MilyBhLab at our apartment. It was fun (I was made to play guitar🎸and sing old songs😃). This was a homecoming for my former student @Harshita3110 & a send-off for @aroralisha20, who is leaving for her postdoc.

Nuclear Pore Complexes (NPCs) are the gateways to the nucleus, but how can they be both rapid and picky, even for very large cargoes? To answer this question, we built the most detailed data-driven model to date of transport through NPCs. https://t.co/DWh3XMWZPL

Happy to share final version of our work in @eLife! We reveal how inhibiting the UFD-1-NPL-4 complex in C. elegans triggers an aberrant immune response, reducing pathogen load but ultimately compromising host survival. @aaballay1 @RajneeshRao16 @DBS_IISERM
