I never got over the wanting to live in a tree house phase. Still learning. Freckled creature. Wife of a real-life mad scientist. Give me cats & I'll be happy🌈
First photo/Wedding day/First anniversary/Fourth anniversary.
4 years married, and 13 years since we started this journey together.
I'm the luckiest of the luckiest.

The awesome
@MadS100tist
is travelling to a conference overseas, and it's the first time we're apart in more than 2 years. I miss him already, but also super excited cause he's gonna have a great time and share some pretty amazing science. I'll hold the fort, you shine out there!

This is hilarious. I only discovered this interview last week and I've been playing this moment in my head since then. Thanks Twitter, this is exactly what I needed!
The awesome
@MadS100tist
has a new preprint, and like the good mad scientist that he is, he's bringing dead things back to life!!! (sort of). So proud 🥲♥️
Preprint claxon! Very happy to present a story in a very cool population of neurons that

have in the spinal cord: the Rohon-Beard neurons

I made this cheesecake but the recipe says I still have to wait for another hour to eat it. If this doesn't justify the invention of a time machine, I don't know what it does.
But, before going any further I'd like to thank
@firecrackerx
for introducing me to her and to other amazing queer women in her book: Señoras que se empotraron hace mucho. In English it'd be something like: Ladies who screwed each other long time ago.
That's the great Josephine Baker for you. We are blessed to have had someone like her in this world. I hope you liked knowing and learning about this woman as much as I did.
I got insulted and blocked by a Ivy league professor because I took the time to find a nice recipe in English that would correctly portray a dish from my birth country. Didn't mean to disrespect, just to share an accurate representation of my culture. Twitter is really something.

I LOVE fashion. I have a very personal style, and I get lots of compliments about my looks. Ironically I have to wear scrubs at work. This tweet makes me wanna post outfits more often and show the world something more than my bleached srubs!
Us women being nice, polite, funny, dedicated to our studies/jobs, or doing any other normal stuff for that matter, doesn't mean we're interested in pursuing romantic or sexual relationships. Enough.

Por esa regla de tres tendrían que haber traducido el "Don't worry, honey" como "No te preocupes, miel", no?. Traducir bien no es hacer traducción literal.
Josephine couldn't have biological children, but her heart was so big that she adopted and raised 12 children as her own. She affectionately called them her Rainbow Tribe.
Josephine was a dancer and singer who nailed everything she did, she was responsible of introduced the Charleston in Europe. She was also the first Black woman to star in a major motion picture, the 1927 silent film Siren of the Tropics.
And she was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She was a fierce activist, and she contributed considerably during the Civil Rights movements in the 70s.

I managed to avoid getting COVID for almost four years and I ended up catching it last week even though I never stopped masking and being super careful. I know several people for which this has also been the case lately.
Please, take care of yourself and others.
She married seven times to seven different men, and was lover of lots of women like artist Ada Smith, singer Clara Smith, writter Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette and rummors say even Frida Kahlo was seduced by her charm.

She was also an animal lover and gave home to the most diverse and random collection of animals, but we must make special mention to her cheetah 'Chiquita'.
31 years ago, one day like today,
@MadS100tist
was born. He was so excited about life that he came into this world 10 weeks early. Lets celebrate all over Twitter!
