Green-lidded bin and green box waste collections are now suspended until 12th July. Waste collection is the most basic requirement of any council. This is a new low.
Our apologies but waste collections are being hit by the national shortage of HGV drivers. To help the backlog we have suspended green bin & box collections from Mon 21 June til Mon 12 July. Black bins, food & garden waste collected as usual. Details at https://t.co/GGebK5uaMG

Sad to hear that planning permission was granted today for this imposing block of 36 flats with no affordable housing, directly opposite our beautiful castle. We protested the sale of this building 4 years ago and believe this could have been avoided.

The increasingly tightening hand on the throat of our key media institutions is a massive concern. The two top jobs at the BBC now held by Conservative donors and now this. This trend is alarming, independent media institutions are all being brought under Conservative direction.

@ThatTimWalker @sonofr Come one...voters need to take responsibility for their actions. There was nothing to suggest that he would be competent and everything to suggest that he would not be. It was in the media...if one cared to look and think about the effects of one's vote.
