Conservative Member of Parliament for South Staffordshire
Promoted by Sir Gavin Williamson CBE MP of 59 Wolverhampton Road, Codsall, Staffordshire, WV8 1PL
It is vital that we continue the momentum in opposing Boningale's speculative planning proposals for Brewood.
It was welcome to meet with Cllr Mark Sutton and members of the Opposition to Overdevelopment in Brewood to continue discussions around Green Belt protections.
It was such a pleasure to visit the idyllic and spectacular Shugborough Estate.
The grounds are stunning and the buildings are filled with history with over 200,000 visitors each
My thanks to Hayley and Alice for the fabulous tour, and I would highly recommend a visit.
I welcomed the opportunity to meet with Rail Minister Huw Merriman to discuss improved train access across Staffordshire.
I will continue to make the case for improving local train services, boosting Staffordshire's connectivity, and keeping commuters moving forward
It was so wonderful to celebrate St George's Day in Great Wyrley and Stone.
So many volunteers put such effort into both parades and it was brilliant to see communities enjoying the entertainment, food, and stalls.
Boningale’s plans for almost 1000 new houses across Brewood, Codsall and Bishops Wood are just another example of Staffordshire’s anxieties about overdevelopment being brushed aside.

It was brilliant to join Friends of Essington and Essington Wombles on Saturday as part of the Great British Spring Clean.
It was wonderful to see so many volunteers giving up their free time to help make Essington a better place to live and work in.
I attended the "Can You See Us" Parliamentary event hosted by the Thomas Pocklington Trust - a charity supporting people with sight loss.
There are over two million people living with sight loss in the UK and it is vital that we do all we can to make their environments safer.
I recently met with
@BrainTumourOrg
in Parliament to discuss increasing awareness of the signs and symptoms.
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40 with over 12,000 people diagnosed each year.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Princess of Wales and the Royal Family at this difficult time.
We wish her a full and speedy recovery – her statement today was brave and she should be afforded the privacy to focus on her treatment and be with her family.
I have joined my Midlands and Welsh colleagues in calling on the Government to back Wrexham, Shropshire, and Midlands Railway to deliver for train passengers.
These plans will make a real difference to commuters across Staffordshire.
I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Pete Madeley.
Pete was an excellent political reporter
@ExpressandStar
and it was a pleasure to meet him on so many occasions.
But more importantly he was a wonderful guy and he will be sorely missed.
Last week I was a panellist on a rural crime meeting at Amerton Farm.
Key discussions around driving rural crime away from Staffordshire and working with the police to secure convictions.
I am committed to doing everything possible to support those impacted by rural crime.
I am deeply concerned regarding Boningale's plans to build extensively in Codsall, Brewood, and Bishops Wood.
These developments are outside of the Council's Local Plan and seems a very opportunistic act by the developer to try and push through extra development.
Residents in Penkridge are rightly concerned regarding the dangerously positioned communications box on the corner of the Levedale Road.
Surprisingly, Lila Connect who installed the box, disagree that the box is hazardous.
It is absolutely vital that we do all we can to raise awareness of the symptoms of Ovarian Cancer.
Over 7,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year in the UK. I am committed to supporting Staffordshire women who are diagnosed with this disease.
It was brilliant to join Greg Lawley who is the Junior Organiser of Wheaton Aston Cricket Club.
Greg is working to encourage young people in Wheaton Aston to participate in cricket.🏏
I look forward to supporting the club in anyway possible.
It was a real privilege to join so many Somalilanders outside of Downing Street in London.
We highlighted our campaign to see Somaliland recognised by the UK and other countries.
Thank you for such an amazing and warm welcome. We will make independence happen.
Great to visit

It was wonderful to visit Penkridge Middle School with
@Rachel_deSouza
The school has a dedicated leadership team who strive to ensure that young people achieve their potential, and focusses not just on the academic side, but also on wellbeing as well as physical activities.
