What sort of warped, selfish and anti-social mentality is this. ? Go to a lovely, scenic, place - have a BBQ, and then trash it. We're lobbying for littering fines to be increased from £500 to £1000. @jk_rowling

The problem is that @richardgaisford comments reflect a caring, socially responsible and thoughtful citizen. The morons who dumped this litter are selfish, inconsiderate and lazy. Sadly, there are millions of people like that in Britain. They need to be socially shamed.
Depressing scene on a beautiful Bank Holiday Monday. #ThoughtlessTossers dumping their litter at the A3 southbound services close to the M25. What’s wrong with taking it home? @cleanupbritain @NationalHways @KeepBritainTidy @GMB

More great work from @BucksFlyTipping.
5 Bucks littering offenders have just seen their £500 litter penalties double to the £1,000 rate (due to non-payment).Instead of 'going away' if ignored at the new rate, they will go to civil debt recovery (+ costs), recovered by enforcement agents (bailiffs) 🚯😖🤦♂️.#ForBucksSake

Excellent work by @BucksFlyTipping again. They lead the way in litter enforcement. EVERY Council should follow their example. Too many are lazy and don’t care though… @GBNEWS.
Driver could have taken coffee cup to journey end and disposed of it lawfully, but threw and left it as litter, #IverHeath, Bucks 19May'25.Caught by @BucksCouncil traffic camera.Ignored £500 penalty, which doubled to £1,000 - now paid in full to avoid civil debt recovery.😖🤷♂️🚯

Although the @DefraGovUK version won't come on stream until October 2027, it's great to see this already happening. Well done Canary Wharf Management.

We all know Britain is in a mess…. not just with litter everywhere but because of a deeply dysfunctional political system and, as @policy_uk rightly says, a lack of national pride.
Obliged to @Telegraph for this profile published today; an overview of my academic research into British Policy Failure and vibe for how we extricate ourselves from the crisis we are in. Stage One: restoring a sense of national pride & fixing the training of our political elites

LET'S CALL A SPADE A SPADE. YOUNG MALES ARE THE WORST LITTER OFFENDERS. Research found that young drivers are the most likely to litter, with 31% of 18–24 year olds admitting to dumping rubbish from their vehicles in the past year.

Littering on Britain’s roads is reaching worrying new heights. Thousands of tonnes of rubbish are dumped around the road network, endangering wildlife, threatening driver safety, and costing taxpay...

“It's shocking how much there is. We realised we're walking around constantly blind to this litter problem. When you notice it, it’s all you can see. I see it everywhere now, I just constantly see litter. It just opens your eyes to it.”.

If YOU have a dashcam and it films litterers like this, then please send the footage to us, and tell us what road/date it was filmed on. We'll then hassle the Council to prosecute. .
Dropping litter - up there in my top 3 frustrations. Let's see if we can find this person so they can pick it up!!!. Reported to @WestBerkshire
