Y'all are going to have to forgive me, recent events have prompted me to transform into the Baptist Honey Badger™️🦡 for a bit on this platform. I'll calm down eventually 😇🤓.

The irony of folks complaining that Baptists are too sectarian and then also telling them they can't pursue catholicity given their main distinctive will never cease to amaze me.

A good place to start in terms of serious attempts to address this question is the dialogue between @lukestamps and @PLeithart in an issue of JBTS on catholicity, which I guest edited with Ryan Brandt.
