My 3 brothers and I grew up in close proximity to 9 first cousins on my mom's side. Now my 6 kids are growing up in close proximity to their 13 first cousins (my brothers' kids), and dozens of second cousins. I know this isn't possible for everyone, but it's worth aiming at for.
