Yesterday I didn’t drop my kids off. No one cried. No one had a big heavy backpack. No one packed a lunch. No one got bullied or shy or scared. I don’t have to wait in a pick up line. I didn’t have to cross my fingers that the teacher and volunteers and parents and staff will 1/3

After groceries we had lunch, finished up about 30 minutes of school and then they played games with their dad. They all played together and crafted and read until dinner and then we had a movie night.

SIL and I are thinking about starting a post partum care business. We come over and clean and bring groceries/meals and provide nursing/pumping support, hold baby so mom can shower/sleep. We are thinking it would be for women who don’t have family close. What do y’all think?

Treat my child with love. I won’t worry about what other kids might say to my kids this year. Instead we all got up around 7. Had breakfast, colored, did some reading and some cleaning up. At 9 we started school. We worked for about an hour and then all went to Costco.

So many parenting books talk about how incredibly hard parenting is. However that had just not been my experience at all. My kids are 1.5-7, I have four, and there are certainly difficult moments, but I would not describe parenting itself as being hard. Am I alone in this?

My third baby was a water birth and I had no idea you could be that comfortable during labor. It was better than both my epidurals by far.

My husband and I fully plan on being mean parents. Our kids won’t have electronics. They won’t go to sleepovers. They won’t be allowed to watch or wear the same things as their peers. They will be homeschooled. But you know what? My kids will be mighty.

I’m only 28 but I don’t even consider myself “hot” now. I’ve had 4 kids. I was never “hot” to begin with. But my husband is just as hot for me as when we were newlyweds and I imagine that will still be true when I’m 35. Who cares about being “hot” when your happily married?

SAHM life is idyllic. How could you not love this? Wearing comfy clothes, drinking coffee, listening to music, kids are doing board games and playing in the bath tub. We will start school in a little bit. Probably listen to a podcast while I fold laundry.

Women desperately need better education about their bodies. Mama teach your daughter about her cycle, her fertility, her hormones and how to keep her body healthy. God designed is this way and it’s beautiful. We should understand it better.

We tested out a variety of Bentkey content before bed tonight. The kids loved it. From the 2yo to the 6yo, boy and girls, everyone had a favorite show. Most of all I loved that we could click on anything and I could trust that it was safe. Thanks

I never expected to be a “baby jail” mom but y’all, this thing is saving my life right now. We let him out to explore when we are able to watch him. But I can’t watch him constantly all day and that’s what this baby demands. So yeah. I love this little jail lol

On my husband’s single teacher salary we:
SAHM
Own a home
Have a car payment for a decently nice mini van
Have four kids
Pay all our own bills including a couple streaming services
He also teaches piano and I do photography as profitable hobbies and that income is for fun.

My husband tried to read the replies on my homeschooling thread and he can’t even 😂 as an education degree and a teacher for 8 years, he despises the school system. Public and private. He sees how broken it is. He could never send our kids to school.

Possibly unpopular opinion, broken and sinful men can still be good husbands. Big mistakes shouldn’t always mean divorce. Christian’s should make an effort to stay married and give grace to our spouses.

I want to learn to knit sweaters, crochet little animals and embroider. Unfortunately I have 4 kids under the age of 6, I homeschool all of them and I have a reading list a mile long. So my hands are full for the foreseeable future.

Postpartum is very isolating and very often mom is so exhausted that she can’t voice what she needs. I think husbands also tend to feel abandoned. It’s a tough season for everyone. Here’s my advice:
I read an entire thread of women saying how they could never forget how their husbands made them feel abandoned in postpartum and I wish more men understood how sensitive of a time that is.

I delivered two babies with a midwife. I caught my own babies after zero pain management labors. I feel like I shouldn’t brag about that, but it’s the best way to have a baby and I just really want other moms to be brave enough to try it.

I have a vivid memory of the moment friendship changed. I had a best friend when I was 13ish, we did everything together. We held hands a lot when we would be out shopping or something. One day we both hesitated, cause we didn’t want people to think we were a couple.

I know it’s hard to wait. Trust me I do. But the message from the other side of waiting, is don’t waste this time. Don’t wither in waiting. God says everything has a season. He has a plan. What is he giving you now? Look beyond your burden of waiting. God has more.

My husband is almost 6’7. He barely even fits on a king lol and yes, we love not touching in bed in the summer when it’s a million degrees. But if I can’t roll over next to him at any given moment then I can’t sleep.
The popularity of the King Sized bed and the even larger California King indicates that most people would in fact prefer separate beds.
Couples used to sleep in "double beds" but I'm not sure they even exist anymore.
Queen sized is seen as too small now.

It’s a lot of “work” I guess. Dishes, laundry, floors, so many diapers. But it’s all my own. I have the honor and pleasure of doing all these things the way I want to, for the benefit of myself and my family. None of my energy or effort is wasted.
