One year ago today we welcomed our sweet baby girl, never expecting that she would not still be here with us on her first birthday. I’m glad I was oblivious to how it all would go down. I was already scared enough as it was.

I stopped sharing regular personal life updates on Facebook, and it’s been one of the best social media decisions I’ve made. It has revealed who truly cares to know what’s going on in my life, as opposed to who only knew because it was convenient.
