Agreed. During the war on terror years, Islam was othered by the right (and in a number of ways, the left). Now it’s fetishized by some far-righties and incels as some imagined bulwark against “wokeness” rather than the beautiful way of life it is. #Islam #Wokeness
first Islam was woke, now Islam is based, but always Islam as a foil, a projection of our insecurities about the West, never understanding it on its own terms, or seeing our histories and destinies as inextricably linked from the beginning

They couldn’t have even made the effort to return the passports to their rightful owners. Now, they have stranded who knows how many Sudanese in the middle of a war zone. I doubt they would be this cavalier to White Europeans who were in that situation #Sudan #Dutch_Embassy
