Muslim scholars get things wrong, and often have. For example, classical scholars adopted the Curse of Ham myth from Christianity-Judaism as a means for why they hated Black people and why enslaving them was good. They were wrong. (2)

Islam isn’t an objective being that legislates right from wrong indiscriminately. It’s an organized religion wherein people legislate according to their interpretations/study of scripture and tradition. It’s not an exact science, and it’s not above questioning. (1)
