6/6 the future is 😎. Like great science efforts, the questions and technology opportunities outpace the immediate learnings. Looking across our grantee communities and internal roadmaps has me filled with excitement. Can't wait for the next waves of data, tech & models.

5/6 the papers in the package on ethics and equity shared a lot of work and thinking on best practices that can be generalized. More focus on engagement and inclusion are necessary for robust science and paving the way for future collaboration models.

4/6related to the 👆point on computational tools, I'm proud of the work supported by data curation and data access via @cellxgene and the variety of papers that contribute to or draw on that data. Supporting science with grants & software brought me to @czi - this is a 🙌example!.

3/6 data is important for first drafts but so too are computational tools that enable utility of the incredible data resources. It was cool to see progress on the computational side represented so robustly in this early work.

2/6it has been such a pleasure working with the team at @cziscience to support HCA. The breadth of work is a great reminder of all the pieces necessary to progress toward useful atlases. Contributions from CZI projects and the wider community demonstrate that it takes a village.

The @humancellatlas package in @Nature is a bright spot for me as we move toward the end of the year. I'm late to the party and really enjoyed watching all the buzz last week🎆! Congrats to all involved👏 The weekend allowed reflection on a few personal areas of excitement 🧵1/6.

Incredibly exciting and important work. Studies like this are pushing the limits of functional screen and absolutely represent a beacon for work in the years to come. Can't wait! Also, the liver is amazing:).
