Thank you for your courage Dawn
Even as an elected member of the United Kingdom Parliament I find it really ironic that a breach of the Ministerial code in Scotland is, quite obviously, a resigning issue, but in Westminster, it becomes “nothing to see here”!
Happy to tweet this every day if needed. 7 times Boris Johnson has misled the House of Commons. Come on

I have been contacted by many hundreds of my constituents with a clear message. We stood at our front doors and clapped, clanged the pans, but we must now reward our NHS and Care Work staff, in a way that will make a real change to their lives, with a substantial pay rise. RT 👍

“Disappointed” at a situation that’s been deliberately engineered?
“Disappointed” that the club’s utter lack of ambition has led to this?
“Disappointed” That failure to guarantee an excellent manager funds to move forward has led to this?
“Disappointed” Nowhere near as much as us
Being an MP I rightly have just one vote in Parliament, exactly the same as I should have internally as a member of the Labour Party. Echoes of Four legs good, two legs better!
#OneMemberOneVote
The Tories are on the ropes but the media are speculating about Labour trying to make to we're split. So I'm happy to sign to this pledge. Let's all do it, including Labour MPs and councillors, put the record straight. The media can move on and focus on the Tories
#Ipledge4Labour
Am I being too cynical, but when large parts of the North of England were being ‘locked down’ the Government could only afford a two thirds of a wage furlough, but when the South of England has to be involved, as part of a national measure, we are back to 80%!
In 2010 Tories went in to parliamentary coalition with Lib Dems.
2017 Tories bribed the DUP with £1billion Bung for a Parliamentary votes deal.
2019 Tories assisted by Brexit Party withdrawing candidates in Tory seats.
They now have a problem with electoral deals and pacts?
Tory whips orchestrating heckling of The leader of the opposition with a choreographed walk out by Backbench Tory MPs. Government whips sitting in the gangway hiding behind their Chief whip bawling their heads off - Public school bully boy tactics.
“As a result of conservative party policies by the end of this parliament we will have less police on our streets then we did a decade ago - and Boris Johnson mini-me Rishi Sunak knows it”
To quote “Beaten 0-3 by Brighton in September without a shot on target. Beaten 3-0 by Brighton in March without a shot on target. Turning a corner? Showing desire??”
No plan, no motivation, no leadership, no tactics, no management, no will to win.

Two quite sad aspects of this, given this is a representative of HM Government, are: a) They know that they are breaking international law and b) They don’t actually care.

Mr Ashley - Do you know what this is? I thought I might get my photo taken with it - because as an NUFC supporter and season ticket holder this is the closest I’m going to get to it, while you continue your miserable tenure at our club.
Can anyone honestly imagine a scenario, where any, honourable, previous Prime Minister, in our history, having lost important votes on a Finance Bill, on an important Business motion and then on their core piece of legislation by 230 votes, would not have resigned?

This disgusting article should be taken down - The stereotypical and derogatory terminology and descriptions of “Newcastle folk” would be decried as racist if they were aimed at any other group: Magpie Prince: Why Does MbS Want to Buy Newcastle United?

from Wansbeck and voted for the extension of free school meals for children in the North East who will now go hungry this half term! How did your MP vote?
“ For the sake of accuracy and complete clarity my name is IAN LAVERY the Labour MP for Wansbeck & last night I voted FOR the extension of Free School Meals
#FSM
It was IAN LEVY the Tory MP for Blyth Valley that voted AGAINST feeding the kids”
Hope this helps 😱
I'm honoured to have been asked to be a Trust Fund Guardian. I've made my monthly pledge too! What's the worst that can happen? North East Charities get a bonus from all of us!
For home team season ticket holders, this will be an additional £14:95 on top of the money they’ve laid out, for a match that they are not allowed to attend! What are the

Could someone please explain who at Newcastle United was actually responsible for paying £40,000,000 (if that is what it was) for Joelinton and why that individual has not already resigned?
1-1.
So poor in that second half. Steve Bruce has questions to answer about how his team couldn't cope with 40-year-old Aaron Wilbraham.
And things have taken a very bad turn for Joelinton.
One thing that the Prime Minister neglects to relay to the British public is that her Government is hugely in control of the Parliamentary agenda. The Failure his hers, she and her so called Government own it completely! She has a massively failed narrative and policy

The amount of per head of population spending by HM Government continues to grow quicker in London - But look at the “levelling up” for us here in the North East of England.
I think it would now be true to say that the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are Socially distancing themselves from the UK’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson!
The DfT are squarely behind proposals to close 100s of ticket offices, after a lip service, hasty and meaningless, consultation.
Consultation that is not accessible to many who will be worst affected.
I support the

Why would I find it hard to believe, that if London and the South East were ahead of the curve, in such a way, that they would have to slow down and be subject to such rationing - or is this part of Mr Johnson’s “levelling up” agenda?

Current production in Gateshead will be lost to France and all the Income Tax, National Insurance, VAT and Corporation Tax that the workers there and the Company De La Rue would have paid to HMRC will now go to the French Government instead. Gross Governmental Incompetence!
The new Blue "iconic" passport to be made by a Franco-Dutch company Gemalto whose HQ is in Amsterdam, and also listed on the Paris stock exchange, a truly European enterprise. The irony hasn't been lost on the many commentators watching this story unfold...
Scrapped health in maternity grants, closed hundreds of sure start centres, slashed youth services, scrapped EMA, decimated school sports partnerships, scrapped creative partnerships, scrapped play builder, implemented two child limit for child benefit, abolished Connexions etc
When you were in government your vision was the bedroom tax, slashing benefits for disabled people and the low paid, privatising the NHS, the lowest level of housebuilding in peacetime since the 1920s, trebling tuition fees, and the worst squeeze in wages for generations

It seems to me that across the Premier League in England we have managers and coaches of many hues, strategists, tacticians, technical improvers, motivators and those with differing blends and combinations of all of these facets, then there is Steve Bruce.
I’ve just raised in the Commons about the fact that testing capacity in the Gateshead has just about dried up, despite the number of positive tests, sadly, heading in the wrong direction with a rise from 18 - 38 new cases in the last 14 days.

I have found it particularly interesting recently that Tory Government Ministers are willing to take on trust reports from UN staff on the ground in places like Libya, Syria, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or DR Congo, but are utterly dismissive of a UN Rapporteur who reports about the UK.
Anyone vaguely left of centre due to be aired anytime soon or are we to be exposed to a constant stream from the Right wing and or Neo-Liberal hegemony?
On the 10th of February this year in answer to my question, The Prime Minister told the House of Commons “I can certainly confirm that we are going to develop the Eastern Leg as well as the whole of HS2” More empty rhetoric from the Bank of Broken Promises, confirmed this morning
