Sensible action, don't expect it ever to happen in the UK but it should.
Here in Germany you have to show your Covid passport in all shops, restaurants, museums, galleries and hairdressers. At first it's a little weird, but you get used to it. I don't see it as a restriction of civil liberties. It's not at all comparable to the denial of a fair trial.
