The Lords have every right to block the assisted suicide bill. Delivering the measure was not a manifesto commitment. And only 48% of MPs voted for it. Let’s rethink this before it’s too late!

As a kid my fave comics writers was @FabianNicieza. He now writes novels. I decided to give the 1st, “Suburban Dicks” a go. I wasn’t sure at first. I know nothing about New Jersey (the setting). It’s grittier than the English whodunnits I love. 100 pages in and I can’t put it

Would be interested to know Nadine’s take on her own online safety act now. I actually do broadly support it, but I don’t think her new boss does…

I don’t see what’s wrong with this. I have many issues with Reform, but this isn’t one of them. Andrea is a talented singer and was a professional before she entered Parliament. What’s wrong with a bit of fun in politics? Let’s not get too high and mighty for our on good.

*sound on* This is Andrea Jenkyns's ACTUAL singing entrance to the Reform UK conference. Utter crackpots. And anyone who thinks this kind of idiotic look-at-me amateurs are how this country will "rediscover its pride" needs to have a lie-down.

We shouldn’t be calling anyone words like this. Name-calling doesn’t make anything better. Holding people accountable for their actions does.

I am thrilled to have been selected as the Conservative candidate for the first Mayor of Greater Essex. I would like to thank everyone who voted for me – I won’t let you down. I would also like to thank Roger and James for a good campaign and wish them all the very best.

This is grotesque. Glorifying violence against Jews isn’t edgy. The West is playing with fire if we allow this sort of behaviour to go unchecked. The cultural establishment needs to wake up to the fact this isn’t protest, it’s incitement. (1/2)

In all my years skirting the fringes of right-wing groups, I’ve never once been at a meeting or rally where a crowd openly chanted death to anyone, let alone thousands screaming it in unison.

Rachel Reeves does class war “I joined the Labour Party over 30 years ago - because I knew the Tories didn’t care about schools like mine” That finally gets a big cheer

In less than a year, Labour has blown through its headroom, mismanaged the economy, and left working families facing yet another tax hike. It didn’t have to be this way. Rachel Reeves, our Tin Foil Chancellor, has folded at every turn - rewriting fiscal rules and then constantly

The Labour Government's claim that net migration has fallen because of their policies is one of the most dishonest posts a Prime Minister has ever made. Sunak's reforms to student visas and families accompanying workers have been successful improvements to our immigration system.

Labour’s economic credibility, already threadbare, will be in tatters if they ditch their "iron-clad" fiscal rules. Rachel Reeves has never been the Iron Chancellor she claimed to be. She already fiddled the rules to allow her to borrow hundreds of billions more. If she changes

Despite Labour saying only a couple of thousand would leave private schools when their vindictive VAT policy was introduced, it seems it’s 13,000 & rising. That’s 13k new places to find in state schools. Labour’s figures never stack up.

This morning's news that inflation has jumped to 3.5% – well above the 2% target – is worrying for families, and the Bank of England expect it to rise even further. We left Labour with inflation bang on target, but Labour’s economic mismanagement is pushing up the cost of living

What’s going on with @PlymouthLabour? Suspect we’ve got more of this to come. Any Labour councillor who hasn’t explicitly ruled out defection is likely pondering it. How can they give the City what it needs when they are busy fighting for the “heart and soul” of the party

As we mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, we remember the courage and sacrifice that brought peace to Europe. We owe a lasting debt to the generation who stood firm in the face of tyranny. Their legacy lives on in our commitment to freedom and democracy. #VEDay80

On #VEDay80, we remember the courage and unity that defined a generation. But today, that spirit is slipping away. In my piece for the @MetroUK, I explain why it’s time to stand up for British values, protect our national identity, and stop policies that sell out our country.
