I am heartbroken and devastated.
Yesterday morning, my Bubbie (Yiddish for grandmother) passed away at the age of 97.
The person in the world I loved the most besides my 3 kids is no longer with us.
I have so much to say but don't know where to begin or where to end.

As a kid, I was in Foxboro for Darryl Stingley Day. He was hit by Tatum (by today's standards 100% illegal) in a preseason game and paralyzed for life. They wheeled Stingley out at halftime. Very sad.

For the first time in 13 months, my kids will be spending time with my parents and staying inside my parent's house.

I have heard in one way or another from all 3 kids. They are all ok.
The missile that made a direct hit landed 15km from one of them. But all good
These are the days when being a divorced dad are hard.
But they're healthy and safe. So all good.

Lost most of her family in the Holocaust. Married an Auschwitz survivor, who lost most of his family.
Next week she turns 96. Kids, grandkids & many many great grandchildren.

This morning I made a major life's decision. It wasn't easy. Took a lot of soul searching. But I feel it's right for me. So here goes:

Great grandson of a man (after whom I'm named) who 75 years ago was murdered in the Auschwitz gas chambers.
Grandson of 2 Auschwitz survivors.

She has been brought to her final resting place here in Israel. 🙏

I'm asking for prayers for Shira Yael bat (daughter of) Liora Sara.
She's a 21 yr old woman, shot tonight by terrorists in Israel.
She was 30 weeks pregnant. Doctors delivered the baby.
They're now fighting to save her life. Her husband was also injured & needs prayers too.

Today, Shoshana Ovitz passed away at the age of 105.
For birthday number 104, she requested that all the generations of her family- more than 400!!!- gather together.
Shoshana survived Auschwitz. This was her victory over the Nazis.
May her memory be a blessing.

In 1945, my father, starved and unconscious, was mistaken for a corpse at the Nazi concentration camp in Ebensee, Austria. By a miracle, someone realized that he wasn't yet dead.
Last week, my father and mother welcomed a new great-grandchild.

I saw my kids today for the first time in 10 weeks. Couldn't hug/kiss but got to see them.

It's army son 1's birthday today.
I went to visit him. Delivered the shwarma he wanted for lunch, some treats from my mom and snacks and pastries for him and the soldiers he serves with.
We only had a couple of minutes. But it was good to see and hug him.
