While this watered down version of the RENTAL Act falls short of what DC needs, it does still advance key priorities that will make housing easier to build in the district and keep renters safe. Fortunately, any kneecapping ammendments that would make the bill useless are avoided.
TODAY: @CMRobertWhiteDC is looking to advance a bill making a number of changes to D.C.'s housing laws, including to make evictions faster in some cases, to exempt newer buildings from the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA), and more.
