We can't have two economically illiterate parties, it's like having two fun parents, we're all gonna starve to death.

The surest path to lower rents for everyone? Building enough homes so landlords have to compete for tenants—rather than the other way around.

Students told they'd have to teach material recalled ~31% more than those preparing for a test. Nobody actually taught. Just expecting to explain something shifts your brain from passively absorbing to actively organizing

My answer is always “I don’t have any idea. Neither of us do. The point of school is to build a toolbox, though, and I’m offering you a tool. You’re better off having more tools than fewer when you leave here.”
"When am I ever going to use this?" is the most honest feedback a student can give you. And we dismiss it every time.

I am a Democrat. I served in the Clinton administration. I did not vote for Donald Trump and am highly unlikely to support him or his acolytes in the future. I also have serious disagreements with many of the Trump administration’s domestic and foreign policies. But it is

I just want people who are smart to stop saying “my wife and I” or “my husband and I” when it’s supposed to be me. This one is so very easy to fix. If you would say me you say my wife and me. —She and I went to work. He told my wife and me. I went to work. He told me. Let me help

This is shaping up as the most consistent finding in housing studies: Building lots of luxury housing can reduce rents at the top of the market—but the people it helps most are renters struggling to afford even the least desirable units

We need to prove we can make people’s lives better. That’s how we move this state forward, this party forward, and our country forward.

Driving is not a right -- it's a privilege that must be earned and maintained with appropriate behavior and legal compliance.

It’s crazy that we don’t impose harsher punishments on people with license plate covers — they’re saying “the rules don’t apply to me.” Driving is a privilege, not a right, and if you don’t meticulously follow the law, it should be very easy to lose that privilege.

I can’t believe are people trying justify the Michigan terrorist as though it’s news that murderers often have a reason for killing. Yes, it’s called a motive and it’s not a defense. You’re a lunatic and an idiot if you think it is.

Shouting about caring for the poor costs nothing. Learning economic principles that actually create prosperity requires effort. Most people choose the shouting.

Where you live inside a time zone may affect your sleep, metabolism, and long-term health. A major study looked at counties on opposite sides of U.S. time-zone borders. People on the western edge of a time zone get later sunset by the clock. That sounds nice. But there’s a
