What about the people who service those high-salary transplants by making them coffee or cleaning their offices? Or what about the high-salary transplants who are physically incapable of driving? Call a $30 Uber twice a day? And if they want to drink beers with friends?.
@ajlamesa No one wants or needs public transit in Driscoll it’s all transplants from the giant corporations moving their HQs to the state to avoid gross receipts and bullshit increasing taxes from blue cities. Employees get relo packages and maintain salaries and col is cheaper.

Something you see more often in European and Japanese than U.S. politics -- and is a very healthy thing for a democracy! -- is politicians "apologizing and moving on." Mamdani could have done this with his college application, but chose not to for some reason.
The frustration exuded by American centrists at the manoeuvring of rising US politicians from the MAGA Right to the DSA Left indicates that many commentators have still not realised that the main lesson Trump has taught the American political class is to never apologise.

What will Frisco be like in 15 or 20 years? That's the question. I hope the community thrives, because I want people to be happy and flourish.
Places like Frisco aren’t my cup of tea (I prefer a place with far more permanence and sense of place), but hard to blame people for seeking out the good public schools, relative lack of crime, clean environs, bang for your buck in housing, etc.
