Adult human brains have between 86-100 billion neurons and every single one is unique - like snowflakes! âïž In this 3D rendering by our #ElectronMicroscopy team, we see 3 different shapes. Can you name all of them? #BrainAwarenessWeek

Cool study on TBI-induced remission of addition! I tried to get the lesion-tract mapping by setting lesion as ROI on the HCP1065 template and run fiber tracking. Results show TBI disrupted 1. uncinate (red) 2. IFOF (green) 3. ant thalamic rad (pink) 4. local U-fibers (blue)
Could having a TBI ever be paradoxically beneficial? We report a case of a patient with chronic refractory alcohol use disorder that went into remission following a TBI with focal OFC hemorrhage 1/2 @CommsMedicine @foxmdphd @JJoutsa @BenDavidson__

Congrats and thanks for the hard work, @peirong26 and @AnaLawryAguila ! We are one step closer to accurate modeling of heterogeneous pathology in uncurated clinical datasets.
Our latest work UNA has been accepted to #CVPR2025! UNA is the first modality-agnostic model to synthesize healthy brain anatomy from images with potential abnormal patterns --- Achieved by our novel fluid-driven anomaly generator on-the-fly. Project: https://t.co/hIvKOGd1E8

âEach of the administrative burdens⊠might seem small on their own but cumulatively they amount to a âmountain of small thingsâ that is killing academia.â Brief, clear, well worth the read.
Why academia is sleepwalking into self-destruction. My editorial @Brain1878 If you agree with the sentiments please RT. It's important for all our sakes to stop the madness https://t.co/5S5rL8Yda1
