The thalamocortical structural connectivity shown in this Nat Neuro paper by Valerie Sydnor and @sattertt .🔗 Looks remarkably similar to a tract-to-region connectome of the thalamocortical pathway. Fascinating work!

This Nat Neuro study shows the importance of quality control for T1w cortical thickness estimation. (QC is also important for DWI data!).

This paper reports subtypes of AD related to specific pathways. Perhaps differential tractography could help identifying them?.

No DWI needed — these functions work with T1W, T2W, or even CT images alone.

🏆 Achievement unlocked:. Temporarily banned from NDA. for downloading too much data (42TB in 30 days, limit was 20TB) to create ready-to-use fiber data for #FiberDataHub .(now nearing 50,000 scans!). I'm banned so you don't have to be! 😂

One of the largest #schizophrenia #DTI datasets (~400 patients) is now available on #FiberDataHub ( (data-nih/nda/nda-2098/). To my knowledge, no tractometry or tract-to-region analyses have yet been conducted on this dataset—lots of opportunities ahead!

Fiber Data Hub now includes two large brain tumor datasets (data-nih/tcia at :. 🧠 UPenn-GBM (~600).🧠 UCSF-PDGM (~400). I've fixed the original DWI—without these fixes, they wouldn't be usable for tracking!. Now we can track any of the ~1,000 patients.

Diffusion distortion has always been a challenge for dMRI researchers. We’ve long been searching for a sequence that can deliver distortion-free DWI!

To my knowledge, this is the highest-resolution post-mortem human brain dataset at 200 microns. Sadly, it’s not open to the public yet.
