Today’s hitters are “better than ever,” but show me a man who can do this in ‘25. No dancing, no jumping, no screaming, no gender reveal, no balloons, no strobe lights, no problem. Just a man who absolutely murdered a ball and acted like a big leaguer. @mikepiazza31 @shegone03

Front foot down, then throw, is the feeling you want. Allow your delivery to happen, get to a strong position at foot strike, then bring down the house. Well timed intensity. Stay sideways as long as possible. Build rhythm into foot strike, get violent after. Resist early

Everyone who has ever played in the @MLB had the “IT” factor! Some had the capital “IT” and some had the lower case “it” but they all had “IT” What is the “IT” factor you might ask? The "IT" factor in athletes refers to the intangible, unquantifiable qualities that set them

This is unacceptable at the @MLB level! I’m sure it was scored a Wild Pitch though. #1Knee🗑️ strikes again. #shegone @Marlins @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs @SliderDominate @slider_sinker @ROXSystem @BLocsports @CRAIG_LAPINER @hittingguru7 @WesClements22 @TheRealJHair

“How do you work on locating?” This is a question I get daily. 1) Reduce head movement. Make it as easy as possible for your eyes to see and maintain the target location. 2) Reduce variance in mechanics. Go make your mechanics as repeatable as possible.

You see lots of H.S. players high exit velo’s in the cage with Game Batting averages 250 or less. Then you have high pitching Velocity and you see Ball 4 with 0 pitchability. Sorry but that doesn’t translate into winning baseball games. But this is the world we live in right now

While scap retraction is generally associated with ⬆️ velocity, as I've discussed before, cheating it can be counterproductive. If you can relax/pendulum (instead of yank) the throwing arm, it will dynamically pass through retraction, allowing for a well-timed pull into release.

The amount of youth players getting Tommy John Surgery is insane. 57% of TJ surgeries were players 15-19 years old. Doctors say year-round baseball and early sport specialization, is a primary cause of these injuries in young athletes. Something needs to change, NO?

Great leaders aren’t perfect. Great cultures aren’t perfect. Great teams and organizations aren’t perfect. Great doesn’t mean perfect. Great means most days you live a high standard and when you do fall short you own it, learn and get better the next day.

A college coach doesn’t care what you hit on a pocket radar. They care if you can: ✅ Command the zone ✅ Get outs ✅ Compete when things go bad If you can’t do that, your velocity means nothing.

There are thousands of baseball facts to share about Ryne Sandberg, but my favorite Ryno fact is that his Hall of Fame Speech is considered one of the 100 greatest speeches of all time. It was July, 2005, in the shadow of the steroids scandal. 1/ https://t.co/C7EdbKRDtW

I 100% do NOT care what your exit velo is if you don’t get on base. I 100% do NOT care what your pitch velocity is if you don’t throw strikes and keep the other team from scoring. Have a great night.

If you're a pitcher, you’ve got to locate your pitches. Be stubborn on the mound. Make those hitters think it’s their idea… then seduce them into hitting your pitch. #mlbontbs
