People who brag about being "Brutally honest" are usually more interested in being brutal than they are in being honest. Of course we should hold honesty as an extremely high value. But let's also be tactful and empathetic *while* we're being honest.

I've really tried not 2 comment on this but 4 Coach @SteveKerr to draw any kind of moral equivalency betw basically-communist China and the U.S. is beyond disturbing. I'm neither pol left nor right but always thought the left took pride in standing 4 the rights of the oppressed.

Those who *take pride* in being "brutally honest" are typically much more interested in being brutal...than they are in being honest. Honesty, of course, should be an extremely high value. Tact and kindness when communicating a truth should be, as well.

@krassenstein @elonmusk Brian, while I often don't agree with you, sir, I believe you are totally spot on regarding Mr. Musk. I've seen absolutely no evidence of his being antisemitic. And, indeed, when that word is thrown around as it is, it begins to lose meaning/impact. Thank you!

This'll probably make both my Democrat and Republican friends mad but, personally, I'd rather none of the Supreme Court Justices be Conservative or Liberal in their rulings. I just want them to interpret the Constitution correctly. That's their job.

@dyqik @reason Paul, with all respect, while you & I might be disgusted w much of what passes as "free speech" it's the fact that it's a *right* that ensures OUR freedom 2 argue against those ideas. ACLU has always kept gov from deciding what is "allowable" speech. They need to keep doing that.

Positive expectation when dealing with others works, but there's absolutely nothing mystical or magical about it. It's actually quite rational. Expecting someone to be kind or helpful doesn't change *them*, it changes *you*. And *that* is what changes them.

Often, people accused of gossiping will say, "But if it's true, it isn't gossip." Actually, if it's true...that's what *makes* it gossip. If false, it's slander. Either one is a very counterproductive way to utilize the human ability to communicate.

Interesting (to me, anyway) is that I lose lots of followers whenever I tweet advocating for liberty and for the humane treatment of #animals . However, I will continue to respectfully tweet about both, as I believe both are essential elements of a just society.

Because with a truly free society, abundance follows, and people from all all over will do whatever it takes to follow their dreams and be part of such a society. Socialistic societies have few immigrants.

Here it is: Gov protects its citizens from force & fraud but otherwise leaves people free to buy/sell/trade however they see fit.
