In the UK, we don't actually have incentives for prosecuting barristers to railroad people into false convictions in the same way as the US.
Barristers are self employed and take on a mix of defence and prosecution work. They don't control evidence in the same way as the USA.

A Paladins power comes from their oath and is an *internal* thing (thus the Charisma). A cleric prays to a deity and that deity grants a miraculous boon.
A Paladin channels their power.
