What's actually happening is people's lives are getting demonstrably, measurably worse and people are a bit more short when a dollar doesn't stretch as far as it used to. The world is not getting better as much as this tweet seems to think, people are just doing worse.
I have a theory that since we’re seeing a rise in people going to therapy, breaking trauma cycles, gentle parenting, prolonging marriage/kids, leaving toxic jobs, negotiating higher salaries- that other people are going to get meaner. We’re already kind of seeing it.
