It's an emotional moment for me to hold the US edition of TYGER in my hands. I put 9 years of my life into writing it because I believe children's books are the most important books of all. Thank you @penguinkids @WorkshopBooks for bringing it to the US! .

Why spend 9 years of your life writing a children's book? Because children's books are the books that make us readers. They shape us at the deepest levels & they stay with us forever. They're the most important books of all – and kids deserve to read the very best books of all!.

TYGER was such a hard book to write, so it's been incredibly moving for me to see it being Barnes & Noble's Young Reader Monthly Pick. Things like this make all the hard work worthwhile. Huge thanks to all the brilliant booksellers who've embraced it!.
