Today we started using our TIDE rocket ship model in our Friday letters about our week to Mom and Dad. We had to have a Topic sentence, 3 Information sentences, and an Ending sentence in our letter. We read all about Mrs. Riley’s week first. @StGiannaOCSB @thinkSRSD

1/ In an interview last week with @TweetBenMax, @DOEChancellor said NYC has “universal dyslexia screening.” That’s simply not true. And the consequences are devastating. 🧵

A wonderful morning partnering with @leannklepzig with our 6th & 7th grade teachers discussing how we’re using @thinkSRSD in elementary schools! Loved bragging on the hard work of our teachers and sharing hope for what students will be ready to do in middle school. #Collaboration

It's a great day to run copies of my @thinkSRSD TIDE-L graphic organizer 🛸 Last year, RACES was mandatory, but language is powerful and imho, TIDE-L is much better for scaffolding the writing thought process esp for launching into multi paragraphs.

So thankful for @thinkSRSD! They ran 4 simultaneous PD sessions so my teachers could focus on exactly the area of writing they wanted to grow in. Personalized, practical, and powerful. 💡✍️ #WritingInstruction #TeacherPD #thinkSRSD
