This was a great listen! Bravo @rastokke & @JamieMetsala on such a clear & measured analysis. Loved the observation that we "give ourselves a B" if 70% of kids can do something - and a pat on the back. Masterful critique of three-cuing history & pitfalls too. A must-listen.

Agree! This is an important text for teachers & educational leaders—helps build understanding of why advanced literacy is the goal, what that means, & what that looks like for curriculum & instruction. Equity through excellence in instruction and excellence in outcomes.

Maybe outcomes like this should be in criminal court too—same for math outcomes. Manitoba’s students need those leading the education system and FoE’s to do much, much better—anyone arguing for the same failed approaches, programs & interventions is not in this for the students.
