Unfortunately I live in one of those states, but I won't be visiting any others. When visiting Fla in 2017, & it was Trumplandia, we vowed to never spend another dollar in Fla, & it's only gotten worse since then. We looked into moving back to Calif, but cannot afford it, sadly.

Gas was .29 a gallon when I was in high school, late 1960s. School lunch was .35. I would skip lunch so I could buy a gallon of gas for my VW Bug (furnished by parents). After school, my buddies & I would cruise that gallon of gas out, then go home.

Sorry to hear. Similar problems, had epidural recently for spine. Worse for me are my ankles. Need bone fusion but not going to do it. Can't do much weight bearing so I'm doing hydrotherapy. Water allows me to get a workout without pain. If your insurance will allow, try it!

Two kids from grammar school suffered polio. The boy had one leg that didn't develop the same as the other - one foot size 10, the other size 13. The girl could barely walk, needed crutches or wheelchair. Resiliency admired.
