One thing I wish people knew about LC (and many other chronic illnesses) is that there literally is no care, nothing. I have spent pretty much every day for the past year rotting in bed, no one cares. You are completely on your own.

clinic have discharged me due to being too severe, they've sent me an invite to watch a psychologist explain long covid. Makes sense why their solution for me being bedbound was to simply get out of bed ❤️

I had a consultation for a breast reduction a couple of years ago. The male surgeon referred me to therapy and asked what my (non existent) boyfriend thought about this because they were the “ideal” size. Didn’t matter that they are too big for my frame and painful as hell!

I don’t think healthy people realise how bad it is to be long term sick with any illness and how little help there is out there for you… it saddens me that more people will find out the hard way when it could have been prevented

I can’t tell you the number of posts in the long covid groups where people very much in the acute infection stage are scared and confused that they feel so ill, collectively governments have convinced the public that they won’t feel any adverse symptoms as a result of Covid.

I’d really recommend a cardiac mri (ideally with a doctor who understands post Covid damage)- that was the only thing that picked up my myocarditis and pericarditis. Bloods/EKGs didn’t. I hope they are ok 🤍
