He told people it was malware because of a permission in the store saying it had access to all files. Permission is present on all Win32 apps in the store (Telegram, WhatsApp for ex) because they are not sandboxed. App does not actually access files.

Pro tip! To make these titlebar buttons on the password manager app look better, use ApplicationView.GetForCurrentView().TitleBar.ButtonBackgroundColor to set their background color transparent! Will not make them look so out of place.

Talking to MS about it lead to some changes to the permission description. The "more details" page now says the app may not actually access them. The Windows 11 store changed it to "uses all system resources" which is way less spooky. But I still get people thinking it's malware.
