HS Strength & Conditioning simply defined - you get out what you put in. Don’t show up - no improvement Show up and go through the motions - some improvement Show up and put in work consistently for years - you’ll unlock physical capabilities you never thought you’d have

Every head coach knows this: A great assistant changes everything. They lift your culture. They protect your standards. And they determine how far your team can really go.

COACHES: If you want players to "trust the process", then make sure that you have a good process and, most importantly, you are somebody worth trusting.

First week of college basketball, and I think about the words of Rick Majerus: “Bad shots will beat you faster than anything else.” Your shot selection determines your defensive transition. If it is poor, you don’t get a chance to set your defense and play defense.

The quickest way to get a coach to trust you is by proving yourself everyday in practice.. and that means every single day. Trust isn’t built in a day, it’s built through consistency day in & day out. Every practice & workout should be a proving ground - it doesn’t matter if

As a former high school varsity coach, I recommend others consider carefully who they keep on the roster that probably won't play much during this season. Why seniors? Why frosh/soph who could play & develop on the lower level team? Why anyone who would be unhappy in that role?

Been saying this for years. Your program will thank you if u hold off running your varsity offense in middle school, etc. Teach them to think and make decisions
If you’re a youth coach and you have 100 different sets, you’re actually stunting the growth & development of the players in my opinion. Being to controlling creates robots and not basketball players Teaching them how to play > teaching plays

Some coaches don’t realize that they’re the problem. A player loses their love for the game, starts thinking about quitting. Then a new coach, a new culture & the spark returns. They didn’t change, but their environment did. Coaches, you can be the reason they quit or love again!

Dawn Staley said, "If you play well, you get extended minutes. If you don’t, that has to go to somebody else." Successful people don't expect opportunities to just be handed to them. They prove they deserve them. They know: YOU GET WHAT YOU EARN.

HOLY SHIT. Matt Chapman, who reportedly works as a teacher and coach at @McLeanCountyU5 in Illinois, appears to be wearing an "ABOLISH ICE" shirt AT SCHOOL. This teacher is pushing anti-ICE propaganda on students. Any comment @McLeanCountyU5?
