"Your stop needs to be a surprise.". Stopping is the most efficient way to create space. But if you are decelerating before you stop, the defense is going to slow down, limited the amount of space you are going to create.

Flare Shooting. Defense starts on the elbow and has to go around the top cone. The offense is allowed to shot fake and dribble, but they must take the shot outside of the 3 pt line.

The purpose of a ball screen is not to simply set the ball screen. The purpose is to create an advantage. With the defense anticipating contact on the screen, ghosting to space can create the advantage.

The best time to attack is off of a defensive closeout. That means we can’t waste time on the catch. Watch how Zeke’s feet are off the ground on the catch, rather than planted in a squared stance. This allows him to explode immediately.

Here’s the best advice I can give you trainers: . Stop chasing money. Learn daily. Find a mentor. Lose the ego. Your playing career might get you in the door, but your ability to develop & connect with players keeps you there. Provide value & the money will follow.

Drop Cross to Swing Step. If you get cut off far away from the rim, a swing step is a great option. It allows you to secure the basketball and still cover a considerable amount of space.
