Yesterday 10 armed police and a helicopter were called to a house in Kent after reports of a big cat on the loose. The tiger is made of chicken wire and resin, and the exceptional sculptor happens to be my 85-year-old grandmother

Getting pretty sick of this. I’m at a UN biodiversity conference, ten sandwich/bagel/wrap options at cafe here. Only one that doesn’t contain meat. How is this message not getting through. #Cop15 Also hardly any mention of dietary changes in the text. (1/2)

It’s the biggest individual action many people at this conference should be doing to save nature. Silence on meat consumption - can’t recall a single delegate mentioning it yet. I’ve been here 10 days.

Sheep Vs no sheep Grazing livestock can be a key part of healthy, wildlife-rich farmland, but the number of sheep has soared. Britain has 33m of them. Here are 10 illustrations of what this is doing to wildlife

Deep in the Amazon, in open nests, the chicks of the cinereous mourner wait for their parents.. These chicks have an astonishing defence from nest predators The moment they are alone, they look & move like toxic caterpillars found in the same trees. 1/
