And it's not just Etheria. To most Punk and Punk-derivative holders (which is almost everyone), there's no such thing as @PixelMapNFT, @mooncatrescue, @MyCurioCards or Peperium. Too narrative-inconvenient. Tokenized, distributed, Orwellian memory-holing. Astonishing stuff.

Yet again, Punk influencers cannot bring themselves to mention Etheria 𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 2015 and 2016.
My expectations are that OG art collections ('17-'21) with provenance will do well on aggregate. However, I don't expect the crazy '21 like FOMO prices for individual artist works (outside of a select group of transcendent artists). Call it the un-steepening of the risk curve.

Punk influencers cannot bring themselves to mention Etheria. It's too dangerous to the narrative ("first!") that made punks valuable and influential in the first place.
When the global financial system runs on Ethereum, fully on-chain projects like MoonCats (launched in August 2017) will be recognized as digital antiquities from the genesis era of decentralized culture. And you can buy one rn for like 0.15 ETH, smfh 🤣.

15/x So something like MTG-on-the-blockchain was definitely already in my brain, pre-launch. And I wasn't the only one. I had heard of Counterparty and also of Spells of Genesis, but dismissed them. It was like hearing that someone was working on jet technology but internal.

14/x One seminal moment in my understanding and appreciation of digital scarcity occurred in the 2000s when MTG launched an online version. The fact that you bought digital packs and opened them and the cards inside had scarcity, just like IRL cardboard blew my effing mind.
