The thrill of completing a set lives forever. Curio Cards were built exactly for that, carrying that collecting spirit into Ethereum back in 2017.

Curio Cards' early innovation helped inform the creation of the Ethereum ERC-721 standard, the framework for NFTs. Only a handful of early art projects were referenced in the standard.

The Curio Cards art show was a four-month-long experiment, starting May 9, 2017. We experimented with artists, art styles, storytelling, supply, promotion and sales. No other project like it existed on Ethereum at the time.

The supply of Curio Cards during the launch in 2017 varied week by week. For Cards 1–10, supply was decided by the collectors. Large numbers of Cards were made available, but all unsold Cards were destroyed end of week. For Cards 11–30, the supply was decided by the artist.
