The Washington Bridge wasn’t good before it broke. Unfortunately, it seems that RI is intent on simply rebuilding it as-is. I wrote an op-ed for @Globe_RI asking if that’s the transportation system we want to leave our children
Commentary: For most, the replacement bridge can’t come soon enough. But is that the right solution?

I missed this during my initial walkthrough on Saturday, but just saw photos posted by @TheValleyBreeze. Centreville Bank Sadium has chairs remembering McCoy Stadium. Love this.

our society’s so obsessed with punishment that posts like this get 300 likes and posts abt actionable support for septa get <50. u cant stop fare evaders. If ur so mad about it u can call Jesse Topper and Joe Pittman and tell them to increase funding so Septa can do something tho

Not to be overdramatic, but I think this debate has existential consequences. If you believe like I do that cities- with their compact green living and mix of cultures is key to saving the planet and greater tolerance- they have to be places that feel safe and welcoming. 1/
A crucial divide on the left. An ex-friend said to me once living in a city means you have to accept the people around you are going to do whatever they want, and everyone has to chill. I see the opposite. Living in a city means being mindful & considerate of one’s neighbors.
