Learning how to learn is the base of your training.
With school, we often ask why do I need to learn X...I'm never going to use that. But we miss the point. School is like sports training: The general sets the stage for the specific. We've got to build capacity, before we exploit and refine our skills.

The path of an athlete is not linear. Itās a journey of constant evolution, where the only opponent worth beating is the person you were yesterday. Champions understand, in the end, true success is not just about what you achieve, but who you become in the process.

Consistent work over a long time pays off...boring.
Marit BjĆørgen won 6 Olympic golds, 18 gold medals at World Cup Championships, and 110 World Cup victories. The defining feature of her training? An immense ramp up in volume from 522 hours / year at age 20, to 910 hours / year at age 35. This was a progression of ~30 hours
