After going around the neighborhood today, there’s been an increase of fear but also vigilance to keep one another safe. As soon as ICE was reported, residents came out and chased them down till they left. Future raids are expected, however people are prepared.

Video shared by “NYCICEWATCH” shows a deflated tire in one of the vehicles used by ICE. You can also hear the air escaping the tire after being poked. Despite Staten Island being majority white and republican, there’s still pockets of resistance from communities.

ICE agents tires were supposedly slashed during the ongoing confrontations in the port Richmond neighborhood. It may be the reason why they entered the bodega, though it does mean community members aren’t welcoming ICE.
