Floorplans are all you need. Here's a video of our AI that reads floorplans. It reads room labels, finds dimensions, finds dimension lines, and locates doors and windows, all in under 2 minutes. There are companies with thousands of people who's entire job is to perform that

I, for one, hope our new AI overlords choose to spare the jobs of their creators, the lowly “CS major”, and instead get rid of hyperbolic VCs who spew total shit about things they know nothing about usint wild and irrelevant comparisons.

Literally nobody who *actually* knows what being a good software engineer entails thinks AI is going to replace software engineers. When someone tells you this, ask them the last time they wrote code was and how exactly they were able to form this opinion.

Pumped to welcome Okibo to the @shadowventures portfolio. Okibo is a Tel Aviv based construction robotics company that has built a fully autonomous “finishing” robot for construction – focused on painting, drywalling, and plastering walls. Why did we invest? Much ink has

You laugh, but I've seen this pattern used in the wild, non-ironically, in a production system.

60 Minutes got a peek at what will soon be the first large community of 3D-printed houses. A Texas company is printing 100 of them, calling it a "paradigm shift" in how we build our homes. Lesley Stahl reports, Sunday. https://t.co/mEN4CWeXMW

Apple destroyed my 7-figure business, unjustly, and threatened to report me to the feds. To clear my name, I had to reach deeper into Silicon Valley than ever before. Here's the story, AKA how I learned about platform risk.

Most people on Twitter are like politicians. Opinions on everything without any knowledge or experience to inform that opinion. But it’s fun to watch y’all.

One serious way to help mitigate fraud as a VC: Always Talk To The CTO Yes, CTOs can mislead, too But they tend to be worse at it. And often are brutally direct. Every VC talks to the CEO. So few talk to the CTO.

Stories like this are why I never coddle founders. Need to learn more about the veracity of this specific instance before I comment directly, but broadly speaking, a lot of VC-backed founders are laughably incompetent or outright grifters.

Why is it that salespeople always get “salesed” while us normal people can see through the ploy? Corollary: are scam artists the easiest targets for other scammers?

Board meetings and oversight should not be a nuisance to early entrepreneurs. A good founder treats their board as an extension of the team who has “been there done that” and can offer support, not a formality.

👀 Sneak a peek at the deepest & sharpest infrared image of the early universe ever taken — all in a day’s work for the Webb telescope. (Literally, capturing it took less than a day!) This is Webb’s first image released as we begin to #UnfoldTheUniverse: https://t.co/tlougFWg8B

It might be time to start thinking introspectively about how you are hiring if your team is having bro-push-up competitions in the office every day...
