This application on our green space has gone away because our amazing grassroots teams' protest triggered an intervention by @Sport_England - not because @wfcouncil listened, responded or took action for the community. What about the next application @CllrCoghill?

This cricket team play every weekend from morning to night at Low Hall. Head of Parks and Leisure told us no sport was cancelled for non-sport events. This team's booking WAS cancelled by @wfcouncil from June - Aug. We'll get a response @CllrCoghill - because this field is ours.

While we await a response from our council. Here's the story of our campaign so far. We will keep our petition open. We will update any developments here and on all our channels:

We won't rest until @CllrCoghill has given us a full and adequate response. We require a response that will not only protect Low Hall Playing Fields - but all our vital community green spaces for the reasons outlined in the report. You'll hear it here. Thank you for the support.

Having played here for @OrientearFC quite a few times, it is important there are places people can go to participate in all sports. No wonder the next generation have less interest in sports if they can’t try any of them out. Sort it out @wfcouncil
