Dark-edged Bee-fly (Bombylius major). Females coat their eggs in dust & sand before targeting them at solitary bee and wasp nests. Their larvae feed parasitically on the grubs. They are around March-June… learn about trees & bees come to the Tree Nursery:

Thanks to Marlis, Sue, Jody and George for coming out on a glorious Sunday morning and watering all the trees we planted this last winter season. We’re happy to report all the trees attended to yesterday are bursting with the uplifting optimism that spring always brings with it.
