I am grateful to the late John Prescott for two things in particular, his announcement 29 Sep 1999 that @NewForestNPA & @sdnpa would be national parks, and his leadership on the Countryside & Rights of Way Act with greater freedom to roam @Campaign4Parks @RamblersGB

A fine opportuity for him to tell @EnglishHeritage to allow the path along the IoW coast at Osborne, home of his gt gt gt grandma. It's 1 km from house. Alternative is busy dangerous road, a royal embarrassment.

Success 🙌 @TowerHamletsNow recently rejected a planning application to reduce access to a treasured section of the #ThamesPath Thanks to local groups, including Ramblers volunteers, everyone can continue to enjoy this lovely riverside route and view of London in the evening 👇

The London Loop & Capital Ring are routes on the Walk London Network - the biggest urban walking network in the world. @Ramblers_London have been improving the signage & wayfinding along these routes. Last week I was delighted host these wonderful volunteers to say thank you.
