@RachSalv The insidious nature of the cosy relationship between the water industry and its so called regulator which is now nothing more than a pollution facilitator. Independent inquiry long overdue.

It's already been hinted at by 1 EA employee low level reports often lead to the discovery of much bigger, more widespread, harmful pollution incidents. Here now is the proof. Time for change. Time to go.

It's obscene to use the word 'restoration' in this context it's nothing of the sort. It is simply enabling the behaviour of the water companies and ongoing failure of the @EnvAgency. Deal with flow and water quality, then you'll have a foundation, if not it's all greenwashing.

Appears @SouthernWater have offered a 50% discount to one of the Kent protesters who has been refusing to pay their water bill. Perhaps @Defra @Ofwat @EnvAgency can explain why exactly it is that members of the public are having to do their job for them?
