Weed is bad for you over the long term and makes you dumber if you manage to get hooked on it psychologically (as it’s pretty easy to). Can’t convince me otherwise.
“Hey dude. Listen to me man, it’s fucking uranium. On a fucking blockchain dude, gonna be the next big thing. Fucking awesome, uh, yeah, fuck it. Yeah, let’s tokenize that shit.”
People are way too hostile in crypto and don't realize the amount of work that goes into creating a product and putting it out to the world. Behind every protocol, DAO or new DeFi toy is a team who's put countless hours into something just for people on Twitter to dismiss it.
Finally got around to writing again. Here’s my substack report on everything from modularity to L4s, a 6,000 word wall of text that covers scalability. If you enjoyed, please RT and share with a friend.
A 66% capital gains tax is just unbelievably poor decision making.
I don’t even have enough words to explain how backwards it is to take TWO THIRDS of an individual’s profits for a risk THEY TOOK.
What’s the incentive to invest in anything while this is in place?
Parents keep telling me they're gonna have to settle for a condo when they move cuz they won't have enough to pay for down payment
Little do they know there's gonna be a nice surprise for em EOY...
Inshallah!
Some short thoughts on attention:
It's pretty crazy that $BODEN has pulled off a very similar run as $WIF did in its early stages
Early march $BODEN began taking over my timeline and has gradually climbed upwards with dips getting bought hard every step of the way, memes…
1) Alright, as much as I hate threads, I decided I'd give a summary of the recent
@OlympusDAO
paper and do my best to explain the proposed changes. For starters, I'll say that I have always supported Olympus & held $OHM for a long time, buying it back in May of 2021 or something.
DeFi Summer, L1 versus ETH Battles, NFT Season, Curve Wars, OHM fork armageddon, Modular v Monolithic Blockchains, Metaverse Hype, GameFi Boom/Bust and now... a wide open field. Who's going to stake their territory? Which trends will we morph to bring us the next 1000x?
Once I learn Solidity, whiten my teeth, gain 15 pounds of muscle mass, 100x my net worth, graduate college, buy a home, merge my brain with a computer, solve world hunger and cure cancer, it's over for yall.
Genuine question for everyone - what aspect of crypto (besides the money) has made you stay committed to the space?
Is there something deeper that makes you spend everyday thinking about it and reading tweets on the topic?
Been thinking about this a lot.
What's up Twitter! Very excited to announce that I'll be working with
@AviFelman
at GoldenTree this summer as an intern specializing in crypto. I'm very grateful to have this opportunity, and I haven't even told you guys the best part - they're paying me entirely in Cardano!
Don’t want to beat a dead horse here, but finding it increasingly unlikely Alt L1s break ATHs or see an ATH in DAUs. With L2s growing in popularity and improving their tech stacks with each passing week, it doesn’t make sense to build anywhere but Ethereum or an L2.
I’ve been a little quiet lately, but thought I’d give a bit of a personal update… I’m beyond excited to announce that I’m joining TCG Crypto this summer!!
I am beyond grateful to the whole team for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity & I’m looking forward to it.
The plan? Call ourselves an Ethereum L2 with native yield and attract a large sum of ETH deposits through a social engineering strategy promising an airdrop, eventually pivoting to a hybrid vampire attack model forking both Lido and EigenLayer to rehypothecate stETH yields.
As I've gotten more familiar with how CT works, I've learned that a lot of you guys are just leeches. You claim to love "anon culture" & shit on VCs, then turn around and dump presale bags on your followers who don't know any better. I understand it's just the way things are, but…
I am happy to announce that I’m joining Reflexivity Research as an analyst starting this week. Huge thank you to
@WClementeIII
and
@APompliano
for taking a chance and bringing me onboard!
Time to get to work.
Hereeeeee it issssss... new substack article is out now, I discuss everything. I do not fail to mention every little thing going on in the world. Share it with everybody.
I published a new report on Bittensor. I think it’s a fun and informative look at the network’s progress so far and where it might be headed. I cover everything from model performance and subnet architecture to existing structures in the traditional AI ecosystem. It's a fun one.
Z has a following because he doesn’t try to be someone he’s not. DeFi God larps as some kind of bossed out gigachad 10 fig beast when it’s painfully clear they’re projecting for something missing in life. Everyone on CT always talks abt how a bear market is better, but if we
The Binance Cartel is real. I was sitting in class, minding my own business and taking notes when three men in suits walked in, grabbed me by the shoulders and kicked me in the stomach until I market bid APT with my entire net worth. I can't stop shaking.
You all thought it was bad that 99% of people outside of crypto think NFTs burn down trees? Wait till they hear from the nightly news & Twitter explore page that known criminals and scammers are running our DeFi protocols.
*Somewhat long tweet covering my opinions on $TAO*
Lot of impressively bullish sentiment surrounding Bittensor but there's very little actual info as to what they do. Everything within their docs is centered around the benefits of a decentralized and open source AI ecosystem,…
Unfortunately for a lot of you, recency bias is gonna nuke your net worth. Thinking that x or y coin looks cheap sounds good when compared to last month’s prices, but we’re gonna continue to free fall here. Didn’t expect it to happen but unfortunately it’s the reality we face.
This week I'm releasing the DeFi 3.0 thesis on Substack. Not really sure what people will think of it, but it'll definitely turn some heads (or so i hope). Tell a friend of a friend to get ready for ve(3,3)^2.
It's here, it's here! New article on attention, narratives and a strategy for grappling with the constant influx of information. Major thanks to
@Galois_Capital
and
@ABTestingAlpha
for the inspiration. Would appreciate a RT or any feedback, thanks!
You see a lot of talk on twitter about $SOL pulling an eth but imo it makes more sense that $ATOM does the eth fractal thing
Maybe im an idiot but Cosmos stack is elite
Some thoughts on quitting your job to go full time crypto:
People are discussing quitting jobs to go all-in on crypto. I don’t think that it’s the best advice and would instead suggest leaning into your crypto “talents” and getting a job in the industry.
Since I started…
Some thoughts on L2s with and without native yield:
I was originally a pretty vocal skeptic of Blast, mainly because I felt annoyed with their marketing and was disappointed that they'd released without an actual product. It's still a multisig with almost $1.5b in TVL, but my…
You fucked up, Sam. The more I think about it, the more I get pissed off. How many people told family members who were interested in crypto to setup an FTX account? How many teenagers just getting started with investing saw your ads and decided to open an account?
I won’t deactivate again but I will be taking an extended leave of absence, sorry to anyone I upset that really wasn’t the goal at all, I do see how it’s a bad decision and a poor joke about a token but hope you all can learn from this mistake. Ttyl
I dunno what’s so sad about this vid, dude has a cute dog, nice crib and a job + stable routine.
Seems pretty chill to me, what else is he supposed to be doing? Climbing a mountain? Curing infectious diseases?
Feels like crypto class of 2021’s on-chain participants got rewarded the heaviest for arbitrum drop
Didn’t do any of that odyssey stuff, just used the protocols legitimately for a while and it all worked out
Threadoooooors in disbelief
$TAO is a textbook example of how the best researchers might not be the best traders. You can be good at both but bias and ego will always go against you subconsciously. Important to turn your brain off sometimes and just let a good narrative wash over you.
Things happening in crypto:
- pulse chain extravaganza
- milady / remilio madness
- zkEVMs building something
- blur blending
- nft perps kind of popular
- shitcoin casino looking desolate
- vitalik v. eigenlayer
- too many picks and shovels
- alts are awful
- liquid staking?
Problem with CT is nobody cares about genuinely useful DeFi protocols because traders can’t make money under current market conditions. Creates a vicious cycle where CT despises anything that doesn’t 10x in a month’s time. Funny seeing ppl say DeFi is boring rn.
