These businesses rates rises could be devastating for Torbay. Good to see @HuddlestonNigel raising it and making clear @Conservatives alternative. #TorbayHour #torbaybusiness #BoostTorbay

Spot on from @RobertJenrick 👇
The idea that you can meaningfully reform the ECHR is a trick. We cannot wait for Europe to get its act together when we have a border crisis today. Spies and terrorists have entered our country on small boats. Foreign murderers and rapists can’t be removed because of spurious

Another day, another mind-blowing judgement from an Immigration Tribunal. It's this type of case which frustrates virtually anyone trying to enforce the law.

The Lib Dems just voted to screw every British business for a couple of extra peerages. They wanted unlimited tribunal payouts on top of the huge damage from Labour's 330 page (Un)Employment. Thankfully, Conservatives opposed them and won, but business won't forget.

Today in Treasury Questions, I pressed the Government on the urgent need to rethink business rates for our hospitality sector. Skipton was named the happiest place in Britain last week, and our pubs, hotels and restaurants are a huge part of that. I’ll keep pushing for the

Liberal Democrat’s and @timfarron are full of it. Just a few weeks ago they worked with Labour to block a Conservative amendment in the Lords that would have protected our best land for farming. They will say anything to get a vote.
🚜 The @LibDems are calling for a radical overhaul of how the UK attracts, trains, and supports new farmers. They warn that the country is on track for a “lost generation of farmers” unless immediate action is taken. READ MORE: https://t.co/7DvIRapm4n

Am proud to be one of those who voted Aye that evening.
Two years ago today, MPs working across 10 parties defeated a Government three-line whip 246-242 to demand an end to delays on infected blood scandal compensation. Victims die every week and there's still much to do, but that night the tide finally turned in their favour. #NC27

Show us your workings. The figures are fantasy land. I think the economic benefits of Brexit are few and far between — at least so far and given how useless governments have been since we left. But you really think we’d have vastly outperformed the rest of Europe of we’d stayed
We estimate that by the start of 2025, the UK economy was approximately 8% smaller than it would have been without Brexit, based on macro data, and 6% smaller using firm-level micro data” https://t.co/DrvEVmSrVw

Andrew Neil taking the Lib Dems fantasy financial claims to task 👇
Your statistics are fantasy. The £90bn figure is based on a claim that, but for Brexit, the UK economy would be 8 percentage points bigger. Clearly bonkers since it means we would have way outperformed every other European economy and even America (and under the evil Tories!!)

@MaxKendix To be absolutely clear Max, as I told you, Hampshire is not part of any discussion about postponement I have not, & will not, ask for an election delay I'd really appreciate you making that distinction in your reporting please.

There was no justification for these elections being delayed again. Right they are going ahead.
EXC: All county council elections will go ahead despite pleas from Tory leaders to delay. Government had previously considered agreeing with those requests but now say it isn't needed to get reorganisation.
