Last year in Flookburgh I was heartbroken to meet a man and his 7-year-old daughter who hadn't been able to see her mum for 8 long months because of cruel Home Office rules.
A year later and I'm so glad to say that after loads of hard work we managed to get the family reunited.

Britain's food security and our country's ability to feed ourselves is absolutely vital.
Yet we have a Conservative Government that is actively disincentivising food production on good quality, productive agricultural land.

Outdoor education can help build resilience in young people which will support their mental health.
Today I asked the Minister for Schools if he would back my bill which would give every young person in England the opportunity to go on an outdoor education residential visit.

I feel sad for Humza. Politics is a rough business. There’s lots I disagree with him on, but we should be grateful to and for people who are prepared to put themselves in the firing line in order to serve the public. I pray for a time of peace and healing for him and his family.

After spending the morning talking to farmers at the Crooklands auction mart, I spent a few hours talking to residents in Grange and Allithwaite before going for a run up Cartmel Fell… and came across a very welcome, and remote, supporter!!

Kendal Town FC is a wonderful football club, in the heart of our community, run solely by volunteers.
So much money in football is hogged by the Premier League - we need a fairer distribution so that fantastic non-league clubs like Kendal Town can have a bright future.
