Lockdown may be lifting on Monday 19 July but please continue to help stop the spread of #COVID19 & other respiratory viruses by wearing a mask in our buildings, keeping a safe 2m distance & using hand sanitizer, even if you're fully vaccinated. Thank you for your understanding.

The more I study surgery, the more I realize some of its greatest challenges are communication, empathy, and trust. Like cutting and sewing, these processes require tact and precision, but mistakes here can be harder to repair. Here's our take at @NEJM https://t.co/o1bDF0LsIg

This is a perfect illustration of the mindset that needs to change and why women *alone* will never effect lasting change. Men have a vital role to play in changing the status quo as #HeForShe #WomenInMedicine #WeNeedGenderEquity #EqualPayNow

Becker Spine Review in November 2020 reported that "female orthopedic surgeons earn on average $122,677 per year less than their male counterparts, according to Doximity's 2020 physician compensation report." It is not 'greedy' to ask for fair pay. It is time to close this gap.
