This is superb from @Katie_Lam_MP
I was so lucky the comprehensive school I went to offered Latin. Mr Bathurst, the only teacher left from the grammar school, insisted on teaching it. He read Classics at Cambridge - and because of him, so did I. As I wrote in @ConHome, that sort of education is for everyone š

Be honest - 75% of schools said these clubs are not financially viable ... https://t.co/YH2PxfOofd
Free breakfast clubs mean more than just a healthy start. They save parents up to Ā£450 a year, giving parents pounds back in the pocket, and time back in the day. Weāre supporting parents with the cost of living and making sure every child gets the best start in life.

Forthcoming blog on rumoured council tax heist. If you just bought a "mansion" like this, you paid £71k SD and you face £600k on income tax as you pay down the mortgage. And you won't have earned your house. You deserve -ve equity and unaffordable payments. More tomorrow.

I thought Govt departments were supposed to serve the public with transparent, impartial information, not to engage in party political spin. Surely the @educationgovuk post breaches guidance on propriety & ethics and the Civil Service Code @UKgovcomms @CommonsEd
UK taxpayer funded āimpartialā civil servants should not be posting Labour Party political content as their own. The so-called "Plan for Change" was not theirs but the failing policy of Labour politicians and strategists. Dangerous blurring of the lines here.

@Keir_Starmer Carry On Keir. Carry On Clueless. Carry On Regardless. Inflation 'down' by a whisker but... Energy bills are brutal. Food prices all up big. Jobs are vanishing. And the Prime Minister chooses the phrase; 'My government is carrying on.' š¬š¤£ Don't bloody 'Carry on'. Just stop

Still wheeling out that private schools "tax breaks" lie like some kind of desperate comfort blanket. The only thing this spite-sodden woman has achieved, is she has demonstrated dramatically why we cannot afford to let politicians have this much power over schools, ever again.
LATEST: Reform schools policy š°Cut state school budgets to restore private school tax breaks āļø Special needs identified as area for cuts š„¶ Make 8 year olds walk 5 miles to school in Winter š Children with SEND called 'naughty' Only Labour will support every child to thrive.
