Still wheeling out that private schools "tax breaks" lie like some kind of desperate comfort blanket. The only thing this spite-sodden woman has achieved, is she has demonstrated dramatically why we cannot afford to let politicians have this much power over schools, ever again.
LATEST: Reform schools policy š°Cut state school budgets to restore private school tax breaks āļø Special needs identified as area for cuts š„¶ Make 8 year olds walk 5 miles to school in Winter š Children with SEND called 'naughty' Only Labour will support every child to thrive.

Politics is about choices, & the Education Secretary has chosen to axe IB funding without notice. This will limit opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged children. I visited Bexley Grammar with @louie_french, where Labourās decision has sadly left students in the lurch.

In this post you will see a question, 'where is the VAT.' I think that is the point that ALL teachers, parents, taxpayers and most importantly, children should be asking. 'Please Miss Phillipson, where is the VAT?' Because it sure as hell isnt in our schools. Which begs the next
The absolute brass neck on @bphillipsonMP tweeting about cuts to school budgets when she barged in cutting subjects & the IB, and has provided unfunded teacher pay rises. 92% of secondary schools are being forced to make cuts. She claims this is āthrivingā. Where is the VAT?

This is the change that happens when we get smartphones out of schools. It is not too late to fix this. The Schools Bill is going through Parliament now, & Labour have the chance to put politics aside, protect childhood & back our plans to make this law. They should do so.

We must have zero tolerance to knives in schools. The boy who stabbed Harvey Willgoose previously brought an axe into school, but wasnāt excluded. Labour should support our plans to put āone knife & youāre outā in law.

@RupertLowe10 I agree entirely. We must also stop taxing education & support more parents to select schooling based on the needs & strengths of their own child. Our one size fits all state education system fails many children. #EducationVouchers are the answer.

Labour seem puzzled that wealth creators are packing their bags. If you tax investment like a sin and treat enterprise as a nuisance, people will simply create wealth somewhere else. Economic gravity isnāt partisan - just painfully predictable.
