Your rant is not based on how his compensation is structured. He is given stock not salary that is based on metrics that the publicly held company set rules for. Tesla employees are also compensated well and equal to Union shops. Rant about Jeff Bezos maybe.

Left is settings and right is a little bit of editing the plan. You can have summer and winter hours and prices. If the prices between peak and off peak are too close it will tell you that it won’t cycle. If it’s $0.03 or more difference then it will cycle.

You’re considering the plug as a $0 expense which is false. It was an included part with included cost. Tesla could have simply raised the car prices again and kept it but if stats show lack of use then making it optional to buy makes sense.

Perhaps he likely felt he was being transparent about what he was doing. He generally does provide any updates he can about all his companies. That transparency makes me as an investor feel more included in what Tesla is doing.

My company is global so usually I assume I’ll see it in the morning but if I need it by 5p my local time then I usually factor in the time zones involved and may say “by noon” or whatever lines up with what I need or “by noon CEST” usually going for the TZ most will be in.
